Dan began his professional life as an Architect, spending the first 15 years of his career working in more traditional architectural roles in the United States and the Middle East. 在这段时间, 他对可持续发展产生了热情, eventually specializing in green building design and construction and sustainable urban development.
As his career progressed, his focus gradually expanded from single buildings to large scale projects.
